Alabama built a 17–7 first-half lead with Simpson striking through the air and Justice Haynes powering the ground game. Georgia answered behind Roderick Robinson and Cash Jones, but Alabama’s defense rose to the moment. LT Overton’s fourth-down stop inside the Tide 10 early in the fourth quarter preserved the lead, and Alabama’s offense converted on third downs to chew the clock and hold off a late Georgia push.
With the win, Alabama improves to 3–1 overall and 1–0 in SEC play, while Georgia drops to 3–1 (1–1 SEC) and to 1–7 against the Tide under Kirby Smart.
